Life at Edifice

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

An environment where everyone can be themselves

We want everyone who works here to feel comfortable being themselves, seize opportunities to thrive in their craft, foster harmony, support others, and integrate to fulfil their aspirations, regardless of their background or how they choose to live their lives.

At Edifice, our unwavering commitment to hiring and nurturing ‘the best person for the job’ remains central to our identity. What has evolved is our commitment to creating equitable access for everyone to join, thrive, and grow here. We’re taking proactive steps to ensure fairness, including unconscious bias training for managers, mentorship programs, and coaching opportunities designed to empower employees to develop their expertise actively.

These initiatives are part of our broader mission to foster an environment where talent—regardless of background or life choices—can flourish authentically and collaboratively.”

Our Approach

diversity

Our approach is straightforward and rooted in our core values

  • integrity
  • humanity
  • courage
  • ownership, and
  • connection.

We’ve established a strong framework to drive positive outcomes, supported by the right policies and guidelines.

We take pride in celebrating the diverse individuals and communities at Edifice while fostering the growth of our talented employees.

We believe that by enabling everyone to succeed, Edifice will also thrive.

Policies that Guide Inclusive Behaviour

Edifice’s framework is grounded its values and encompasses not only formal policies but also comprehensive toolkits and guidance for our employees. At the heart of Edifice lies a set of values that shape our culture and guide our behaviours. One of these values, “human,” emphasises clarity, fairness, and inclusivity, influencing how we operate and communicate—whether with customers or colleagues.

Ensuring diversity and inclusion at all levels of the business remains a top priority.

To hold ourselves accountable, we have two key policies: the Group Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Policy, applicable to all employees, and the Board Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Policy, which governs our Executive and non-executive directors. Moreover, we are committed to supporting our employees with resources such as toolkits and guidance, including the ‘Transitioning in the Workplace’ guide, and providing special assistance for expectant parents through our ‘return to work’ programme.

Our mission is to combat money laundering, terrorist financing (ML/TF), and financial crime risks through rigorous adherence to customer due diligence (CDD) standards. We embed ethical governance and foster integrity to enable customers, partners, and stakeholders to grow sustainably.

Cultivating a culture of integrity remains critical to navigating today’s evolving business challenges.

Tenant-Centric Risk & Compliance Framework

Partners are designated as tenants. Tenant onboarding uses a secure platform where compliance professionals undergo risk assessment-directed AI-driven analytics to each tenancy counterparty and third-party onboarding process, enabling balanced and precise mitigation strategies.

We integrate regulatory compliance and financial crime prevention prequalification measures before any business relationship begins and ongoing monitoring during the relationship to ensure adherence to AML standards and proactive risk mitigation.

A. Partner-as-Tenant

  • Each partner is treated as a separate tenant.
  • Compliance professionals conduct risk assessments alongside AI-driven algorithms to evaluate partner and third-party data and ensure rigorous scrutiny and accountability in risk mitigation.

B. 2-in-1 product and service:
A unified workflow.

  • Combining CDD compliance (e.g., identity verification, regulatory alignment) and
  • Financial crime prevention (ML/TF/fraud detection).

Our compliance professionals leverage to streamline threat response while maintaining oversight of automated processes.

C. Synergy:

Prioritises secure, tech-driven processes guided by compliance expertise. Professionals oversee AI tools, validate algorithmic outputs, and ensure preemptive risk management, blending automation with human judgment for balanced decision-making.

D. Key Focus:

Compliance professionals are central to risk assessment, ensuring regulatory adherence and mitigating threats through a hybrid of technology and expert oversight.

Granular Data Controls: Restrict access by role/purpose, ensuring confidentiality and integrity during ongoing monitoring or regulatory amendments.

  • Proactive Compliance: Align systems with global standards (e.g., FATF and local jurisdiction regulators) to ensure seamless audit readiness and regulatory agility.
  • Risk Mitigation: Reduces exposure to financial/reputational harm via early threat detection.
  • Integrity & Transparency: Strengthens partner relationships through ethical, data-driven governance.

Value Proposition: A scalable, secure framework that transforms compliance into strategic advantage while safeguarding multi-tenant ecosystems.

Our slogan is your shield: Safeguarding and empowering tenant businesses via CRMS 2-in-1.

Reflecting on people and our customers,

Connected stands out as one of Edifice’s values that emphasises collaboration to build an even better organisation. The community celebrates the diverse ways we come together to achieve this objective.

One way we have raised the bar on inclusion is through the upcoming launch of our employee podcasts programme. Open to anyone who wants to join, our networks include Pride, Consciousness Minds, managing stress, and a well-being podcast. These podcasts offer virtual activities, including sharing resources, stories, and tips for well-being; live-streamed workout sessions; virtual coffee mornings for groups such as working parents and aspiring leaders; and celebration events.

A connected community extends beyond our walls, with networks supporting numerous initiatives and charities through volunteer time, resources, and sponsorships. Here are a couple of initiatives passionately supported:

The best person for the job

At Edifice, our commitment to excellence begins with a simple principle: We aim to identify and appoint the most qualified individual for every role. Our focus lies in attracting high-caliber talent and providing them with meaningful opportunities for advancement and long-term growth within our organization.

Our inclusive culture is deeply embedded in our recruitment practices. From crafting job descriptions that incorporate flexible working arrangements to actively pursuing diverse candidate shortlists, our hiring strategies are designed to foster fairness and inclusivity.

By leveraging centralised cloud-based technology and a fully remote-enabled working environment, we extend our reach to a broad and diverse range of candidates, particularly for graduate opportunities.

We believe in the sustained growth of our people:

  • Talent forms the foundation of our succession planning and workforce development strategies.
  • Our initiatives include unconscious bias training for hiring managers,
  • structured mentoring and coaching programs, and
  • resources that empower individuals to navigate their professional development actively.

Aligned with our vision for inclusive leadership, we continuously enhance our learning and development offerings. Current plans include the introduction of a half-day workshop on Inclusive Leadership, which will address key themes such as unconscious bias, equitable work allocation, and effective feedback practices.

At the core of our philosophy is the conviction that in a competitive marketplace, roles should be filled based solely on merit. Simultaneously, we recognise the value of building a workforce that mirrors the diversity of the communities we serve. To support this, we implement targeted strategies to diversify our talent pipeline, ensuring that all candidates have equal access to opportunities within a supportive and empowering environment.

Respectful Environment

At Edifice, we stand in solidarity with those advocating for racial equality and justice. There is no place in our organisation—or society—for racism, injustice, hatred, or violence. We all share the responsibility of helping to build a more inclusive and empathetic world, and at Edifice, we are committed to playing our part.

While progress is still needed, our focus remains on promoting education, raising awareness, and fostering a more profound understanding within our workforce. We strive to create a safe and respectful environment where every employee feels valued, heard, and supported. Learn more about the steps we are taking here.

We are committed to making meaningful contributions to a fairer future, recognising that lasting change requires ongoing effort. In times like these, our voices matter more than ever. We must unite to uphold fundamental human rights for all. We stand in support of racial equity within global communities and are committed to driving the social change our society needs.

People from varied backgrounds bring unique perspectives, which, when explored through open and meaningful dialogue, become the foundation for innovation. As outlined in our policy statement, organisations that embrace diversity are better equipped to navigate change and seize new opportunities. Recent insights indicate that over 60% of small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) are proactively taking steps to improve their diversity and inclusion practices, recognising the tangible benefits to innovation, team performance, and customer engagement.

However, with around one in three SMBs still not identifying diversity and inclusion as a strategic priority, there remains a clear need to reinforce the message: Fostering diversity isn’t just the right thing to do—it’s a powerful driver of business success.
